Account Information
When you create a MoveRays account, we collect:

– Child profile information (first name, last name, date of birth)
– Parent/guardian information
Activity & Learning Data
The App collects and stores:
– Journal Entries: Daily activities, observations, and developmental notes you create
– Content Consumption: Videos and activities your child watches or completes through the App
– Learning Balance Data: Automatically calculated percentages across five learning domains
– Content Library: Items saved to Watch Later and scheduled content
– Content Customization: Your preferences, priorities, and notes for personalized recommendations
Automatically Collected Information
– Device information (iOS version, device model)
– App usage analytics (features used, session duration)
– Crash reports and error logs

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
– Provide personalized content recommendations for your child
– Calculate and display learning balance insights
– Track developmental progress over time
– Improve App functionality and user experience
– Send important service notifications
– Provide customer support
We do NOT:
– Sell your data to third parties
– Share your child’s information with advertisers
– Use your data for marketing purposes without consent

3. Data Storage & Security
Firebase Services
The App uses Google Firebase services for:
– Authentication: Secure account login and management
– Firestore Database: Encrypted storage of all user data
– Cloud Storage: Secure storage of uploaded photos and media
– Analytics: App performance and usage insights (anonymized)
– Crashlytics: Error reporting to improve app stability
All data is encrypted both in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Firebase complies with GDPR, COPPA, and other privacy regulations.
Data Location
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Firebase, with data centers in the United States. Google Firebase maintains SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other security certifications.

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Age Requirement: The App is designed for use by parents and caregivers (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Child Profile Data:
– Child profiles are created and managed by parents/guardians
– We collect only essential information: name and birthdate
– Children do not have separate accounts or login credentials
– All data is accessible and controllable by the parent/guardian
Parental Control:
– Parents have full control over all child data
– Parents can view, edit, or delete any information at any time
– Parents can delete their entire account and all associated data

5. Your Data Rights
You have the right to:
Access Your Data
– View all information stored in the App at any time
– Export your data (available through Settings)
Modify Your Data
– Edit child profiles, journal entries, and preferences
– Update account information
– Change Content Customization settings
Delete Your Data
– Delete individual journal entries or activities
– Remove child profiles
– **Delete your entire account** and all associated data permanently
To delete your account and all data:
1. Open the App → Settings
2. Select “Account Settings”
3. Tap “Delete Account”
4. Confirm deletion
All data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We Share Data Only With:
Service Providers:
– Google Firebase (data storage and authentication)
– Anthropic Claude AI (content analysis – titles and descriptions only, no child data)
We Do NOT Share:
– Child profiles or personally identifiable information with AI services
– Any data with advertisers or marketing companies
– Information for purposes beyond providing App services
Legal Requirements:
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.

7. AI Content Analysis
The App uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to analyze digital content and categorize it across learning domains.
What We Send to AI:
– Video titles and descriptions
– Content provider names
– Public content URLs
What We DO NOT Send:
– Child names, ages, or personal information
– Journal entries or parent notes
– User account information
Caching: Analysis results are cached and shared across all users to minimize API calls and protect privacy.

8. Data Retention
– Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
– Deleted Accounts: All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
– Inactive Accounts: Accounts inactive for 3+ years may be deleted after email notification

9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via:
– Email notification
– In-app notification
– Updated “Last Modified” date at the top of this policy
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
